Exshaw is located 10 minutes east of Canmore on the 1A highway and along the Bow River. It was established in the early 1900’s as a place for workers of the nearby concrete plant. It is a mix of mostly older (1950-70’s) detached homes, with some new construction and redevelopment. It is a tight knit community with their own kindergarten to grade 8 school, along with plenty of recreation opportunities.
